WHO: Dexter (Book!verse, Dexter novels) and Benny (Supernatural)
WHAT:An Ending, a Beginning, a bunch of other stuff in between.
WHERE: Miami, various locations
WHAT HAPPENS: Siring, for starters.
WARNINGS: Blood, TBA
It wasn't the first time Dexter had seen an alligator. He'd been to the zoo and seen them behind glass, but he'd also been in the wilds with them, knee-deep in swampy water. Surprisingly, the gators seemed content in leaving him alone. This was somewhat unique because almost ever other animal in existence instantly and powerfully hated him. Maybe it was some kind of Predator's Professional Courtesy? Either way, the menacing reptiles let him pass without much of a fuss.
If Professional Courtesy the case, Dexter wouldn't have been surprised; he was in a predator's den, after all. What he knew was that the abandoned plantation had recently been purchased by one Adam K. Lyte. Now, in that very plantation, he was preparing for an evening of delight. Mr. Lyte had been very naughty; Dexter had pieced together the whole story. Yes, he knew for certain that Mr. Lyte was bringing home young boys, who would never be seen or heard from again.
But Dexter was hardly omniscient; there was no possible way he could have known that Adam Lyte was playing host to his little brother, officially deceased Eric Lyte. Dexter had been fascinated by that little detail; the recovered bodies all dry.
Bloodless. He'd seen that kind of thing before, but he never thought "ah-ha, vampire!" In this case, it was the unfortunate truth. Dexter's plan went as perfectly as it could; Adam was naked and taped to the plastic-wrapped table. Dexter was poised, knife in hand, a thrill frozen in the blue of his eyes; the only detail visible behind his white silk mask. It was all perfect...
Well, save for the fact that Adam's dear little brother, vampire-Eric, is creeping up on Dexter from behind. He's careful, and quiet, and Dexter just might be a little too excited about the prospect of another kill to notice at all.
This is where you come in, Benny.

Well, he thought so anyway.
He'd had to do a fair bit of research around town, make sure he wasn't rushing into something he was misjudging. He wasn't though.
The vampire, Eric, had a human front. Adam wasn't the real monster though, not the one bleeding boys dry. They should both probably pay though and Benny figured he could work out the details when he got there.
What hadn't factored into his little vampire hunt though was breaking into the building to see another man already though. The guy had done a thorough job from the layout, from the naked man laying on the table... and for a moment, all Benny could do was watch, stare.
Then the first sign of danger showed itself in the form of the vampire sneaking up on this guy and Benny found his whole body reacting before he thought the better of it. "Hey! Watch out back there!"

Now who was this? There was so little time to consider, because the next moment he was flowing through a fluid dodge; Eric had lunged, but Benny's warning had saved him.
Curious. Dexter didn't consider himself a human thing, but he doubted a human would have reacted to this scene by warning the killer. Perhaps he and the stranger could have some words about it...
Well, once the (undead) knife-wielding maniac was taken care of. The first thing Dexter attempted was a sleeper-hold, which would have worked nicely if Eric actually needed to breathe. Still, Dexter was stubbornly keeping the hold on the surprisingly strong and cold individual, even as the creature sunk its fangs into his arm.
His eyes shot across the room to Benny, his gaze surprisingly intent, almost... calm. His gaze seemed to polietley inquire 'What will you do now?'

Still, he was kind of impressed, a little unnerved, by the way the guy just stubbornly held the vampire in place, even as he bit into him. What would he do though?
Well, what he came to do in the first place.
There wasn't much left for him up here, but taking out nests of vampires picking off humans wasn't a bad way to spend his time, he'd decided. Machete drawn, Benny crossed the short distance between them to take the vampire roughly by the hair, yank him back. "Let go."
So he could cut his head off.
Then they might need to talk, him and this human.
Or maybe there'd just be two other people he'd need to take care of, he wasn't sure.

When the body went limp in his arms he let it drop, as if completely disinterested. That impression was not entirely accurate. He could see the fangs, gleaming sinisterly from the head held aloft by... this mysterious strangers.
For a few long moments, Dexter didn't know what to say. His gaze flickered to the knife he'd dropped on the floor when the creature bit him; he was really regretting that.
"... It's very seldom I'm caught without something charming to day," he began. Something (or more accurately, someone) was purring quietly at the back of his head. It was enough to pique his interest, at least.
The man on the table began to whimper through his gag and thrash against his binds, his eyes frantically pleading Benny for help.
[ooc: sorry for the delay; had a series of emergencies jump out all at once ^^;; ]

"It's seldom I walk in on a scene like this... You a hunter?" He somehow doubted it. That just left the question of what this man really was.
[ooc: Yikes, sorry to hear that! I hope things are settled now. I've been swamped in real life, so sorry for the late reply!]
